Be part of an exciting new event in the heart of Newcastle

Hold onto your cheese knives and wine glasses, folks! Bartholomew's is thrilled to spill the beans on the first-ever Newcastle Cheese & Wine Show, hitting the town on Saturday 5th October, 2024.

​

With the glittering Hunter Valley wine region just around the corner, it's time to showcase the region's finest (as well the best from beyond).

 

The event comprises of a 4-hour tasting extravaganza, with open arms for cheese and wine wizards, and everyone in-between. There will be a VIP lunch to kick off proceedings, and there are two pairing masterclasses to held during the show.

 

Held at the stunning Bartholomew’s, stallholders will peddle their wares to up to 350 guests.

THE VENUE

Bartholomew’s isn’t just any restaurant, it’s a destination. Taking the grandeur of Gatsby and adding a hint of 1920’s prohibition, we’ve created a unique and inviting venue not found anywhere else in Australia. 

 

The venue itself holds up to 500 people with a mixture of intimate tables & large booths. Upstairs offers its own private bar and an amphitheatre layout offering views of the main bar.

 

Originally built as a Central Hall in 1903, the venue has known life as a Methodist Mission, Picture Theatre, Hatted Restaurant and Beer Hall. Now it is better known as a purveyor of the finer things, celebrating local produce, and world class beverages

stall allocations

We have a range of spaces and options at our venue, but most stallholders are allocated a space of 2.4m x 1.8m.

 

There is room for signage with your allocation. Signage should be freestanding. 

 

We can supply power to some sections. If you require power, please indicate so in your registration.

Event Information

There is no fee for holding a stall at the event.

 

All wine / alcohol producers are required to supply tasting stock for the event.

​

For all food stalls, you have the option of providing tastings as well as sales for consumption on premises.

​

The facility for takeaway sales will be provided for all stallholders, with orders fulfilled at the stall. 

​

Sales will be completed through Mr Yum, (or a similar website). There will be a 4% commision on sales for all wine / alcohol vendors (this is the Mr Yum fee), and a 10% commission for all other stallholders (including the Mr Yum fee). 

​

All tasting glasses will be provided to ticket holders on entry to the event.

Sponsorships

We're happy to announce that not only can you attend the event, but we also have sponsorship opportunities available! By becoming a sponsor, you'll gain extended reach to the Bartholomew's audience, and be included in event marketing for maximum exposure of your brand.   • Hosting rights for VIP lunch with 50 guests

  • Table of 4 at the VIP lunch

  • Bottle inclusion for each VIP guest

  • First pick of stall location

  • Branding on event marketing in printed collateral, and both traditional and digital media for at least 3 months before the event

  • Brand spotlight on our website and social media including organic & paid postings to a following of over 25,000 and a target audience of over 300,00 people

  • Brand spotlight behind our bar during and post event

  • Wine list feature - wines included on the Bartholomew’s wine list for six months

  • Newcastle Food Month Feature! - your wine to feature in our plate date special for the entire month or April

 

Secondary Sponsors (x2) - $500 + GST

  • Priority stall selection

  • Hosting rights for 1 x cheese and wine pairing masterclass

  • Branding on event marketing in printed collateral, and both traditional and digital media for at least 3 months before the event

  • Brand spotlight on our website and social media including organic & paid postings to a following of over 25,000 and a target audience of over 300,00 people

  • Brand spotlight behind our bar during and post event

  • Wine list feature - wines included on the Bartholomew’s wine list for six months
